They can be mounted to any surface that allows them to be secured with 4 bolts and nuts. Smitty's son tom began working at rock Etta at an early age and became head of the ever expanding enterprise when it became Smittybilt in the 1970s. Hardware is not included due to the many possible mounting variations. A standard padlock can be added to prevent theft.

Once installed, the high lift trail jack can be secured against theft with a standard padlock not included. These heavy duty universal mounts securely hold a high lift trail jack for safe transport.

Installation requires drilling four 3/8 holes, and 4 each bolts, flat washers, lock washers, and nuts should be used for mounting.
