Instead of having to secure a long boat to a see saw short factory racks, you can use this dry dock with a single crossbar. The idea is that for the front end of whatever you are hauling, you then use either 1 foam blocks 2 buy a separate front crossbar mount to go on the roof of the cab or jeep.
