It has some minor rust on the feet, but is completely functional and what you'd expect from being on a roof for 2 years. This foot pack with definitely work for the vw Jetta 4 door sedan mark iv from. It also has the foot pads and clips for the vw Golf iv but is missing 2 small plastic shims that look like they slide inside the Aero feet. These probably cost one dollar each from Thule and could be ordered to fit the vw Golf.

It was installed on a 2003 Jetta the instructions are included these are important for the install measurements that you'll need. The are pictured in the instructions so you would not be flying blind. Note the vw Golf uses 2 different feet and clips than the Jetta which are included and have not been used.
